How I Brought 'Pub Vibes' to a Professional E-Learning Voiceover: A Voiceover Artist's Experience working with Rio Tinto

This project was for an e-learning module, and the creative direction I was given was: "Imagine you're at the pub, but keep it professional."

Sounds simple, right? Well... not exactly. 🤔

Professional? No problem.

Pub vibes? A bit trickier when you’re educating the listener on complex technical concepts.

But hey, challenge accepted! 🙌

To get the right tone, I loosened up my enunciation just a bit and played with the pace and rhythm of the script. I wanted each sentence to feel like a fresh thought—because, let’s be honest, no one heads to the pub with a memorised script in hand, ready to deliver a perfect monologue between beers! 🍻

It’s not uncommon for clients to provide polarising creative directions—"pub" meets "professional"—and I love the challenge of striking that perfect balance for the client's needs. 🎙️
